xlprint have developed a wide range of products all focused on the process of electronic document design and production. Our products can fit the vast majority of corporate needs from a single small company installation to an enterprise wide solution. All our products run under Windows and typically reside on the network enabling the flow of data from the host to the point of need on the LAN.
We have products that service the total requirement for converting data in electronic documents - design, formatting and final delivery to print, email, fax and archive.
Paris Corporate
Our high end, flagship product is designed to assist customers who normally have a wide range of complex applications to be designed and printed. An extensive array of features is incorporated into the Designer. These include a full set of drawing tools to make forms design a breeze; layers of powerful conditional processing to accommodate even the most complex data; full colour support; support for industry standard graphic formats; barcode and complex chart support; plus a host of additional features, all available in a WYSIWYG environment showing both data and form elements together on the screen.
As important as Design is, the main function of our products is to take basic host data files and turn them into documents ready to be delivered to electronic output. As with the Design tools we have developed a range of products to accommodate the different requirements of our customers.
Paris Corporate incorporates a very powerful spooling and formatting system. This product is designed to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In many cases the spooler is driving multiple, high speed (180ppm) laser printers. To guarantee throughput in these high volume, production environments we have developed our own Postscript and PCL drivers. This combined with the multi-threaded design allows us to bring maximum efficiency to these environments. The spooler is a true enterprise level system providing support for up to 512 printers; support for multiple input sources; a printer centric view of the flow of documents plus user control over priorities, destinations, and flow of jobs.
xlprint has a deep understanding of many of the legacy systems still widely used in the computer world. Many companies maintain proprietary systems from companies such as Xerox and Oce. Amongst our product offerings are tools to assist the customer in the migration process from these proprietary, legacy systems to open print technologies.
Recognising that many of our customers have a requirement to direct their documents to more than just the printed page, xl print also offer solutions for email, fax and delivery into archiving systems. The new EDO option allows e-mail and fax as well as providing a path that enables Paris created documents to be uploaded into EDMS systems.
Paris Desktop
Our latest design tool has been designed around Wizard technology to bring the design process within the reach of virtually any user with Windows experience. Using our Wizards the job of setting up a new application can be as simple as answering half a dozen questions - the software does all the work.
Specifically designed for the Windows user who wants to create immediate marketing documents, this product requires no specialised knowledge to use. From the user's perspective, creating marketing documents from database records is no different to printing something from Word using mailmerge. The difference is that with Paris Desktop, the user can use Wizards to create the required document type, view the document as it will be printed, add barcodes and a range of autoshapes.
In the latest Version, the concept of a Launch Pad has been added. The Launch Pad is the control point for all Paris Desktop functions from creation to preview to Print.
